Blige, Cuba Gooding Jr., Estelle, Rita Ora, and many others. Furthermore, Snoop Dogg and Patti Labelle show up in the upcoming finale! All those people agreed to guest star on the show even before it broke all sort of viewership records. Can you imagine who they may get next year? Probably anybody they want! Co-creator Lee Daniels told The Hollywood Reporter he’s trying to get Oprah. That would be amazing, but we thought we’d give him a few more ideas… Check out these suggestions and let us know who you’d like to see join the drama next season. Taylor Swift as a bratty mega star from Billy Baretti and Boo Boo Kitty’s record company. This time, she gets to be the Kanye-like character and interrupts an award show. Of course, she eventually apologizes and collaborates on a track with Hakeem. Getty – Fox  Kanye West as Kanye West of course! Why would he play anyone else? Cookie tries to sign him as a client but first she has to engage in a cat-fight with Kris Jenner, who’s also trying to manage his career. Do Yall think #EMPIRE Characters Hakeem & Tiana were inspired from NBA Star Iman Shumpert & girlfriend Teyana Taylor? Look at the Comparison… #DishNation #RSMS

[Tweet "Do Yall think #EMPIRE Characters Hakeem & Tiana were inspired from NBA Star Iman Shumpert & girlfriend Teyana Taylor? Look at the Comparison... #DishNation #RSMS"] NBA star Iman Shumpert tells TMZ Sports ... he does NOT hate the show "Empire" -- and does not believe producers ripped off his life for a story line ... despite reports to the contrary. Earlier today, it was reported that Shumpert was calling out "Empire" -- claiming two of the characters were direct rip-offs of himself and his GF girlfriend Teyana Taylor ... and even sported similar hairstyles. But Shumpert says the whole thing has been blown out of proportion ... saying, "The 'Empire' story pertaining to myself and my girlfriend Teyana has gotten out of hand." "Fans of the show and friends have told us on many occasions that couple favors us but we do not at all feel that our lives are being copied/stolen." Shumpert continues, "I apologize to the actors on the show because they're just being professionals and don't deserve slander that's not what I was trying to portray and I have to be more careful with my choice of words." "I do not appreciate the writer using his questions with my answers to draw quotes like I was making these elaborate answers but that's the media. The writer took a 2-3 min convo of locker room talk after a GREAT TEAM WIN and made it look like a sit down interview and it wasn't." "He twisted words to get the point that he wanted to get across. This is not that serious and though we don't watch the show we are not against it." Presented by TMZ

#EMPIRE – 12 Reasons Why This Week’s Episode was Off Da Chain #DishNation

There’s only one reason you should be watching EMPIRE, because it’s the best damn show on television. But just in case you needed any further proof, here are 12 more instances why this week’s episode was everythang! Fox1. And on the seventh day God created … an episode which starts with a montage of Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) getting dressed to the beat of Lil Kim’s “The Jump Off.” Yaaas! All the other networks might as well air reruns of Mr. Belvedere and say their prayers, because ours have just been answered. Fox2. Cheers to Andre (Trai Byers) and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) for serving Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa realness. Fox3. “You think I came here dressed likes this for a friendly get-together?” – Ms. Lyon “giving body” after her dinner with Lucious (Terrence Howard) turned out to be a family gathering to announce his engagement to Boo Boo Kitty aka Anika (Grace Gealey). Cookie’s on fleek! Fox4. “He’s toughening up. He’s becoming a top. That’s what you got to do to make it to the top.” – Cookie obviously did her Grindr homework and kept it blunt – and way awkward – by telling Jamal’s boyfriend Dora aka Michael (Rafael de la Fuente) the changes occurring with her son. So much for having to be versatile to succeed. Fox5. Ladies and gentlemen, Elle Dallas (Courtney Love) has entered the building! This is a trainwreck we are all on board with. Fox6. It’s all about Porsha’s (Ta’Rhonda Jones) gold head chain thing. Get into it, people. Fox7. “TMI” – Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) sees Tiana’s lesbian affair hit a very popular Internet site.  If only sex tapes really did make people household names… Fox8. “I hope one day you find … somebody to bring something to the table besides some damn food.” – [...]

Taraji P. Henson @TheRealTaraji Fires Back At Critics Slamming #EMPIRE – #RSMS #DishNation

Taraji P. Henson has a message for those critics who are dogging out her uber-addictive series, Empire: Thanks. Now we all know most people wouldn’t give someone hating on you and what you’re doing another thought (but possibly a good read) so why is Taraji even entertaining the idea? The actress chopped it up in the latest edition of Uptown magazine where she addressed the negative feedback some have given on the hit Fox series. While Lee Daniels insists the show is a tool to help many in the black community address homosexuality and shed a light on situations family members face, some have criticized the show’s portrayals of blacks and gays. In the magazine’s Feb/March issue, Taraji scoffs at the backlash and is all for the open dialogue the show is giving. Taraji stated: I’m just proud that people are talking. Everybody don’t like Barack Obama,” she says, referencing the second episode of the season where her on-screen son, Hakeem (Gray) slams the POTUS, calling him a sellout. “People are out there saying that. That’s what art is supposed to do: expose this shit. You know, we’re dealing with subject matter that’s not really dealt with. Art is supposed to challenge, start a conversation, so let’s lift the carpet up and deal with this dirt. It’s not like we bashed Barack Obama and the show went off. No, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) jumped in his [son’s] ass. That’s real life stuff. So I’m glad you’re mad. Do something about it. Go in the hood and talk to the kids so they don’t do dumb stuff like that. The gang over at Empire’s doing something right to get people not only talking but watching. Since the show’s first episode, it keeps [...]

9 “Empire” Songs You’ll Want To Put On Repeat

If you’re as much of a fan of Fox’s “Empire” as we are, you equally appreciate the music the Empire produces each week. We’re still singing along to Jamal’s (Jussie Smollett) certified hit “Keep Your Money” and Hakeem’s (Bryshere Y. Gray) “Armani.” We have super producer Timbaland to thank for that. Since we can’t stop bouncing to the Lyon’s music, we’ve put together this post so you can listen too. You’re welcome. Diddy Grounded His Son From Appearing On #Empire – Is This a Good or Bad Decision?

Diddy won’t be letting his son, Quincy Combs, on Empire anytime soon. The mogul’s adopted son was all set to appear on the Fox hit drama, but that deal was canceled because Diddy wasn’t satisfied with his deal, according to Page Six. Combs, 23, would have had to sign over some of his music rights relating to the show to Fox. This seems standard for Fox, and they have used deals like this in the past with actors who have appeared on their other shows, such as Glee and American Idol. This is because they sell their songs on iTunes and are available to stream on Spotify. A Page Six source said: “Diddy kicked up a huge stink and called all the top brass at 20th Century Fox TV to get them to change their rules over music rights,” but he didn’t get his way. “He said there was no way his son was signing over his intellectual property. So he banned him from the show.” All hope is not lost for the young singer. His new single, “Friends First,” might be featured in the show’s second season. If Lee Daniels and crew get it together for the second season, Diddy will let the magic happen. Presented by The Rickey Smiley Morning Show
