Rock-T from the Rickey Smiley Morning Radio Show and His Wife Talk Private Dances, Being a Slave and More

[Tweet "Rock-T from the Rickey Smiley Morning Radio Show and His Wife Talk Private Dances, Being a Slave and More"] Better known as Rock-T, radio personality Rocky Turner has one of the toughest jobs in America. As a co-host on the Rickey Smiley Morning Radio Show, Rock-T is charged with one of the show’s most anticipated, high-pressure, nail biting moments—the now infamous Joke of the Day. Okay, for those of you who don’t listen to the show, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But for the Dish Nation star, the pressure to be funny among the likes of Rickey Smiley himself might be a legitimate stressor. Yet, when it comes to real pressure, we think Rock-T’s wife Krystal holds the bigger burden. I mean what girl can honestly do her best seductive bedroom dance when her husband always laughs right in her face… Krystal: Okay, so I’m really not the best dancer of all times. But I try to break it down for him in the bedroom. I will start breaking it down for him, and then he will start saying, “Work it, work it, work it”, but laugh at the same time. [laughs] Now how am I supposed to keep my sexy bedroom dance going with him laughing? BMWK: So, Rock-T, on a scale of 1 to 10, how do you grade her on her dancing? Rock-T: Dancing-wise, well, it’s a 10 because when we’re swinging out [editor’s note: that’s like Texas’s answer to Chicago steppin]. She’s pretty fly….When she’s doing any kind of hip-hop dance or anything else, that’s when it goes straight downhill. But, the dancing that she was talking about is in the bedroom, that’s the reason I start laughing is [...]

Bobbi Kristina’s Family Holds Prayer Vigil, Police Probe Cause Of Injuries

Members of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family held a prayer vigil for the ailing 21-year-old Monday in Atlanta. Reports ABC News: Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family is still praying for a miracle, and tonight several hundred people gathered for a vigil with that goal in mind. The “Shining a Light for Healing” vigil began at 7 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center in Riverdale, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, and was open to the public. People held flashlights but attempts at lighting candles didn’t work because it was too windy. A small stage held Brown family members including [Bpbby Brown’s] sister Leolah. Bishop Donald Battle began the session, which included gospel songs, prayers, scripture, and a call for healing. A vocalist who didn’t give his name took the stage and performed “I Need You Now,” Smokie Norful’s soulful song calling for God’s help. The crowd sang along, many raising their hands up in the air in prayer. “It ain’t over til God says it’s over,” Gwen Battle told the crowd. AJC.com had more details about the vigil: Tommy Brown, who served as a producer for the reality show “Being Bobby Brown,” thanked the crowd on behalf of Bobbi Kristina. “I know she thanks all of y’all,” he said. “Continue to pray for us all. Remember when you wake up we should all pray for each other.” Rapper Chubb Rock greeted the crowd with a warm welcome. “The word is why,” he said. “Not why did this happen, why her? It’s more like why are we here? Love is here.” Meanwhile, WSB-TV in Atlanta reports that police are looking into what might have caused injuries to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s face and mouth. They also are probing suspected [...]

Don Sterling’s Wife “Shelly” wants to keep the L.A. Clippers in the Family!

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers co-owner Shelly Sterling confirmed Wednesday that she intends to keep ownership of the team in her family, despite the NBA's move to oust her estranged husband, Donald Sterling, who was banned for life by commissioner Adam Silver last week in the wake of racist remarks he made that were published by TMZ. Shelly Sterling has been a co-owner of the Clippers with her husband since 1981 and is one of two alternate governors. The other, team president Andy Roeser, began an indefinite leave of absence Tuesday. The team is owned by a family trust. "Commissioner Silver made it clear, that when he announced sanctions against Donald, that the NBA was taking no action against me or my family," Shelly Sterling said in a statement given to ESPN. She has hired attorney Pierce O'Donnell to represent her interests as the NBA moves to terminate her husband's ownership of the team. Silver said last week that no decisions have been made regarding members of the Sterling family other than Donald. "This ruling applies specifically to Donald Sterling and Donald Sterling's conduct only," the commissioner said. ESPN's Darren Rovell reported Tuesday that the NBA believes it has the legal grounds to force Donald Sterling to sell the team because he has signed numerous contracts with the league agreeing that an owner will not take any position or action that will materially and adversely affect a team or the league. Owners also sign morals clauses, which state they will be held to the highest standard of ethical and moral behavior. The NBA will maintain that Donald Sterling violated [...]
