First the NFL Network, then Bud Light ... now another company is cutting ties with Warren Sapp ... TMZ Sports has learned. This time, the company dropping the hammer on the NFL Hall of Famer is ZYPPAH -- a mouthpiece company -- that's used Sapp as its celebrity spokesperson since 2013. But in the wake of his prostitution arrest in Arizona, ZYPPAH tells TMZ Sports, "We will be terminating our working relationship with Warren Sapp, effective immediately." We broke the story ... Sapp was arrested in Phoenix over Super Bowl weekend for soliciting prostitution and assault ... and although he hasn't been convicted, cops say Warren "admitted involvement in the act of prostitution" at the time of the arrest. "While ZYPPAH fully supports the due process of law, Mr. Sapp's confirmed and admitted involvement in Monday morning's incident simply doesn't reflect the level of character we demand from our brand representatives," a rep for the company says. "This decision was made in order to preserve the integrity of the brand and the ethical fiber upon which our core business was built." As for Warren, he pled not guilty to the charges -- and is due back in court next week. Sapp's been on a rough path since 2012 when he filed for bankruptcy. He eventually lost almost all of his Nike collection -- 213 pairs sold at auction for a mere $6,390. Presented by TMZ

In keeping that morality clause trump tight, the NFL Network fired football hall of famer Warren Sapp today after he was arrested Phoenix where he was covering Super Bowl XLIX. Sapp, 42, was booked by Phoenix police on one count of soliciting prostitution and two counts of assault, both misdemeanor offenses, reports NFL.com. NFL Network spokesman Alex Riethmiller released a statement putting the nail in Sapp’s employment coffin: “Warren Sapp’s contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network.” His page was reportedly taken down from the company’s Web site. Police also released a statement running down the play-by-play from a downtown Phoenix hotel early Monday morning. Cops say they were called regarding a noise disturbance, when a woman came forth to allege she had been assaulted. Police say the argument was over money, and the altercation got physical. Sapp reportedly admitted to the prostitution but did not cop to any assault. However, according to Bleacher Report, Sapp faced domestic battery charges in 2010 (in fact on the day before the Super Bowl that year) and again in 2014, but the first case was ultimately dropped. Whatever his personal shortcoming, Sapp was a bonafide star on the field in his day. He played in the NFL from 1995-2007 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders after a collegiate career with the University of Miami Hurricanes; was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 2013; and was tapped for the Pro Bowl seven times. The Hotel Casino says the NFL never Asked for the Elevator Footage of Ray Rice punching his Wife in the Face…. Should NFL Commissioner be Fired?
The NFL NEVER contacted the casino to request video of Ray Rice brutalizing his fiancee ... TMZ Sports has learned. Commissioner Rodger Goodell made his disciplinary decision in the dark, which raises the question ... Is that the way he wanted it?Sources connected with the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City tell TMZ Sports ... NO ONE from the NFL ever asked for the video inside the elevator ... video that was compelling enough to get Rice instantly fired. Sources who worked at the casino at the time of the incident tell us ... if the NFL had asked for the video, they would have gladly complied.Without video ... Goodell blindly justified the initial 2-game suspension, based on the only evidence they had -- from the two people in the elevator, who called it mutual combat.Multiple sources tell TMZ Sports ... the casino made a copy of the elevator surveillance video for police. We're also told Rice's lawyer had a copy of the video, which he got in the criminal case.An NFL source tells us they requested "any and all information" from law enforcement in the criminal case but got nothing because it was a pending case. But the NFL had other options ... namely going to the casino or Rice's lawyer -- but the NFL never bothered to ask.BTW ... it may sound crazy for Rice's lawyer to voluntarily hand over the video, but the NFL had a lot of leverage ... in the form of severe penalties if Rice didn't ante up the tape.So the question ... does the NFL have incompetent investigators, or was it just easier to protect a player and turn a blind eye to video that would have forced Goodell's hand? Both scenarios are pretty disgusting. Presented [...]
When we saw that video of her her in the studio last week we told you we were a little afraid of her because Joseline Hernandez was growling at people and now…we see our fears were justified! According to TMZ, smack talk about crack triggered the all-out brawl on the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” set which ended with a security guard getting a piece of flesh ripped off his body and they say Joseline Hernandez is the one who did it! The cast reportedly wants her F-I-R-E-D as a result! Cast and crew who were present during the free for all told TMZ that Tuesday night’s fight started when Benzino called Stevie J a crackhead! Stevie J then allegedly charged Benzino, yelling “f*** you.” At this point, Joseline reportedly amped things up by attacking Benzino’s girl Althea! She is said to have punched her in the face so hard that everyone around heard a crack and then to make it worse Joseline pulled out part of Althea’s weave! But Joseline was not close to being done. She was on a roll so she reportedly made a beeline for Waka Flocka Flame‘s wife, Tami Rivera and began yanking out Tami’s pony tail weave! Waka’s mom Debra Antney jumped in, punching Joseline in the head and ripping out her extensions! Security finally kicked Joseline off of the set. But on her way out she passed Mimi Faust in the stairway and allegedly proceeded to elbow her in the back and shove her down the stairs! When the security guard tried to subdue Joseline, she reportedly bit the guard so savagely that she ripped off a piece of his flesh! So now a number of cast members are making a play to get producers to fire Joseline. After all of that…who would blame them?! Man…we know this story is not close to [...]
Shonda Rhimes warned Columbus Short to get his act together but looks like he didn’t take heed to her advice! According to reports, the “Scandal” actor was fired from the hit ABC drama due to his real-life troubles, fueled by violent behavior and an ugly divorce. Short announced the news in a statement today. Along with thanking gladiators for their support, he confirmed that the show’s forrth season will return in the fall without his character Harrison Wright. “At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for three years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today,” the 31-year-old said. “I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you Gladiators, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series.” He went on to say he “enjoyed every single minute of it” but “everything must come to an end, and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas.” “I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry [Washington] and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time,” he added. “For this, I will forever be grateful.” In March, Short was arrested on a felony battery charge after a restaurant fight. And earlier this month, his wife of nearly nine years, Tanee McCall-Short, got a restraining order against him after he allegedly came home drunk, put a knife to her throat and threatened to end both of their lives. She filed for divorce for the third time and is seeking full legal [...]
Porsha Williams may be on the chopping block for the next season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” According to TMZ, the reality star broke Bravo’s zero-tolerance policy after she initiated a brawl with castmate Kenya Moore at the show’s reunion taping. As we reported earlier, the Porsha lost her temper and attacked the former beauty queen while filming on Thursday, March 27. Sources said the incident started because “Kenya brought sex toys to the reunion taping to taunt Porsha about Kordell’s sexuality.” “And she couldn’t take it anymore,” the eyewitness told Radar Online. “Porsha beat the sh*t out of her! She is a little thing and she jumped on her and pulled her down to the ground by her hair, and Kenya doesn’t have a weave, it is all her own hair.” According to reports, the newly-divorced housewife has yet to be fired but Bravo executives are considering the option. “They just shot the reunion. A lot of conversations have to happen, so no decisions have been made yet,” the insider told Radar. “Porsha was upset. No one wanted that to happen.” “Obviously it’s not good what she did. It’s not the sort of thing that any parties want,” the source added. “The women were embarrassed. No one wants this sort of thing to happen, but the thing is with the reunions, they’re not going to make a decision today.” Presented by The Rickey Smiley Morning Show
